1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to Bride IQ websites, mobile applications, connected venue workspaces, and related services that link to this policy (collectively, the “Services”).

Bride IQ is a wedding planning and venue coordination platform. Couples may use Bride IQ to organize a wedding, communicate with a venue, manage timelines and documents, review packages, request dates, and receive planning guidance. Venues may use Bride IQ to manage inquiries, connected weddings, documents, packages, readiness, and communications.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, role, account credentials, profile image, business or venue name, and other information you provide when creating or managing an account.

Wedding and planning information

We may collect wedding date, partner names, venue information, guest counts, planning tasks, timelines, budgets, package selections, room plans, vendor information, payment schedules, notes, preferences, backup plans, and other details you choose to enter.

Messages and shared workspace content

We may process messages, questions, replies, attachments, activity updates, approvals, and other content exchanged through a Bride IQ wedding workspace. Private bride notes are not intentionally shared with a venue unless the bride chooses to share them.

Photos, videos, audio, documents, and camera content

If you choose to use these features, Bride IQ may access or receive photos, videos, voice notes, package documents, contracts, floor plans, policies, receipts, and camera captures. Device permission is requested before accessing the camera, microphone, or photo library where required.

Venue and business information

Venue users may provide business contact information, package details, policies, availability, room information, media, staff information, payout readiness, and connected wedding records.

Transaction and subscription information

Apple processes Bride IQ digital subscription purchases made through the iOS app. Bride IQ may receive product identifiers, entitlement status, purchase status, and transaction-related records, but does not receive your complete Apple payment-card information.

When venue booking or payment features are enabled, payment providers such as Stripe may process deposits, installments, refunds, connected-account onboarding, identity verification, and payouts. Bride IQ does not store complete payment-card or bank-account numbers. We may receive transaction status, amount, payment identifiers, refund status, connected-account status, and payout-related records needed to operate the feature.

Device, usage, and technical information

We may collect IP address, device type, operating system, app version, browser or web-view information, language, timestamps, pages or features used, crash details, diagnostics, performance information, and security events.

Cookies and similar technologies

Bride IQ and service providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, software development kits, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember settings, protect the Services, understand usage, and improve performance. Web activity occurring within Bride IQ web views may also be processed by our website and commerce providers.

Information from other users and partners

We may receive information when a bride invites a venue, a venue invites a bride, an authorized participant adds you to a wedding, or a service provider sends us account, subscription, transaction, security, or support information.

3. How we use information

We may use personal information to:

  • Create, authenticate, and manage accounts.
  • Provide wedding planning, venue coordination, messaging, and shared workspaces.
  • Match an accepted venue connection to the correct wedding.
  • Display packages, room information, timelines, documents, tasks, and readiness status.
  • Process subscription entitlements, booking requests, deposits, payments, refunds, and receipts.
  • Generate reminders, summaries, recommendations, drafts, and AI-assisted guidance.
  • Send service communications, invitations, alerts, support replies, and security notices.
  • Protect users, investigate misuse, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms.
  • Analyze performance, troubleshoot problems, improve features, and develop new functionality.
  • Comply with legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

4. AI-assisted features

Bride IQ may use artificial intelligence to organize information, summarize wedding activity, draft messages, identify missing details, suggest next steps, answer questions, and provide planning or venue coordination guidance.

Information submitted to an AI-assisted feature may be processed by Bride IQ and contracted technology providers solely to deliver, secure, and improve the feature as permitted by our agreements and applicable law. Do not submit highly sensitive information that is unnecessary for wedding planning.

AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate. Venue policies, availability, contracts, prices, payment obligations, safety decisions, and professional advice should always be confirmed with the applicable venue or service provider.

5. Private and shared wedding information

Bride IQ is designed to distinguish between private bride information and information shared with a connected venue.

Typically private to the bride

  • Personal notes and private reminders
  • Private AI conversations
  • Unshared budget details
  • Surprise plans or comparisons

Shared when authorized

  • Guest count and selected package
  • Venue messages and questions
  • Timelines, room setup, and vendor access
  • Documents, payment status, and backup plans

A venue connection requires an invitation or request and acceptance by the appropriate account. A bride may disconnect a venue, subject to legal, transactional, contractual, and record-retention obligations.

6. How we disclose information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

With people and organizations you authorize

We share wedding information with connected venues, authorized venue staff, invited participants, partners, or vendors according to the permissions and actions selected in the Services.

With service providers

We may use service providers for hosting, website and commerce infrastructure, cloud storage, authentication, communications, analytics, customer support, AI functionality, payment processing, subscription administration, fraud prevention, and security. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us and must protect it consistent with their agreements and applicable law.

With Apple, Shopify, Stripe, and platform providers

Apple may process App Store downloads, subscriptions, and device-related services. Shopify may support Bride IQ website, web-view, account, commerce, cookie, and hosting functionality. Stripe may process venue-connected payments and onboarding when those features are enabled. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy notices.

For legal, safety, and security reasons

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, regulatory requests, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, secure the Services, or enforce agreements.

Business transfers

Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate protections.

Bride IQ does not sell personal information.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain a wedding or venue workspace, process transactions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

Retention periods vary based on the type of information and why it was collected. Information may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion and may be retained longer when required by law, necessary for security, or connected to an unresolved transaction, dispute, or legal claim.

  • Access or obtain a copy of personal information associated with you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal information.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Disconnect a venue or revoke sharing permissions.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request portability of certain information.
  • Appeal a denied privacy request where applicable.
  • Opt out of certain communications or cookie-based processing.

You may change device permissions through your device settings. You may manage Apple subscriptions through your Apple Account subscription settings.

To make a privacy request, email support@brideiq.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may be required to provide proof of authority.

9. Account deletion

You may request account deletion from within Bride IQ where available or by emailing support@brideiq.com.

Deleting an account may remove access to wedding workspaces and shared content. Information already shared with another authorized user may remain in that user’s records where necessary to preserve legitimate wedding, venue, contractual, payment, safety, or legal records.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.

11. Children’s privacy

Bride IQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

12. International processing

Bride IQ and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. These locations may have data-protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

13. Third-party links and services

Bride IQ may link to venue websites, vendor sites, maps, payment services, or other third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of services we do not control. Review their privacy notices before providing information.
